Well thank you for taking the journey bcos shadow work is by its nature off putting for general consumption .. it isn’t sexy to say the least. People see fires + LA + burning and they think well I’ve already digested that , let’s move on. But no we actually haven’t .
incredibly necessary point. I think that's the trap of social media - everything's so instant and begging for your attention no one has the time to truly process and grieve the things that need to be processed and grieved. I think this is how we remain stuck in the cycle of sameness when we by nature we are meant to grow and develop into something bigger and greater.
That why I think your idea of slow media with a new rebirthed format of a zine has alot of potential because if you can condition the audience to speed up, you can condition them to slowdown too and reflect. We see that too with Substack and the pressures of content cycle migrating over here.
i know. i could sense it in the writing even - you tapped into something incredibly profound - a brilliancy that will shine for many years to come as the old ways continue to die and new ones are born.
oh I meant to tell you I'd absolutely love to join The Director's Circle when I get back to LA! It's in person right? I'm staying with a friend in Utah right now but I'll be back soon!
Everyone seems to assume I live in LA and I take that as a compliment for how keenly inside my observations are .. but no I don’t live in America 😅 ..it’s an online program n network I’m building
just filled out the form! but for some reason it wanted me to put a web address where it asked for my timezone so I didn't get to put I am in Mountain Standard Time - for now :)
Gary, what you just delivered to us was worth what you had to go through to get this out. I mean it.

Thank you Taylor, I got your responses and thanks for alerting me to that - I’ve fixed it :)
